Sirey Island is a medium-size island off the southeast coast of Phuket, simply south of Phuket City.
Although mostly lined by trees and plantations, there are fairly a few housing complexes, and it has a comfortable neighborhood really feel to it. There are some beaches, however they are not as picturesque as a few of Phuket’s different superb beaches.
We wouldn’t recommend spending your entire vacation on Sirey however it’s price taking a visit out to there and driving or biking across the highway that loops the island. There are some viewpoints and some places to take a seat by the sea. A lot of the island is hilly and there are many rubber plantations. Across the coast there was once small fishing villages, but growth is catching up. When you're staying in Phuket it is only 15 minutes to drive on a motorbike over to Koh Sirey and effectively well worth the effort.
